Schorl with Beryl, Albite, Quartz
specimen number:
8911102
location:
Erongo Mts., Namibia
description:
Interesting combination piece with lustrous black striated crystals of schorl to almost 6.0 cm in length in a cluster with glassy gemmy crystals of quartz and pale blue crystals of beryl. White crystals of albite are scattered throughout. The previous label from the Alton collection states that this is from Namibia. To me this looks more like a piece from Pakistan. Either way, it is very nice.
Size: 8.0 x 6.0 x 3.5 cm (small-cabinet)
Collection: Alton Collection
