description:
A loose gem glassy pale blue sharply terminated crystal of topaz, the bottom of the crystal with minor albite. This is complete all around and in really good condition. At first appearance the backside of the crystal appears to be slightly damaged, everything shown here is completely natural crystallization. A previous label from the collection of Ray DeMark accompanies the specimen as shown at the end of the video. This weighs 137.38 g.

The Teixerinha mine in Itinga, Minas Gerais, Brazil, is part of the Eastern Brazilian Pegmatite Province, though precise historical opening and closing dates are not formally documented in standard geological literature, as it operates primarily as an artisanal and small-scale pegmatite mining site active during the latter half of the twentieth century. Geologically, the deposit is situated within complex granitic pegmatites emplaced in metamorphic rocks of the Aracuai orogen, consisting mainly of zoned pegmatite bodies enriched in lithium minerals, phosphates, and various rare elements hosted within regional schists.
