specimen number:

location:
Rico, Dolores Co., Colorado, USA
description:
A cluster of large pyrite crystals, these coated with a thin layer of molybdenite. Very slight damage along one edge as seen. For a long time these were labeled as being coated by the mineral bravoite; some called this chalcocite. This is indeed molybdenite.
