Hubnerite
specimen number:
1921003
location:
Adams Mine, near Silverton, San Juan Co., Colorado, USA
description: One of the finest examples of this classic Colorado material that I have seen, we had this at one time as part of the Minette collection. We had sold it and recently received it back. Brown semi-lustrous large terminated crystals of hubnerite to 5.0 cm in length aesthetically forming an 11.5 x 6.0 x 4.0 cm cluster. This is in outstanding condition. Previous label from the special memorial exhibit for the James and Dawn Minette collection at the Springfield East Coast show in 2002 accompanies the piece. Also the Minette data card noting that this was purchased from Walt Lidstrom in 1970, and that the piece was collected by famed collector Ed Mc Dolde and was his private collection piece. A lot of history with this one, and the piece of outstanding quality. Ex Mark & Karen Vendl collection.
Size: 11.5 x 6.0 x 4.0 cm (cabinet)
Collection: Mark & Karen Vendl
