Attractive lustrous pink crystals of heulandite measuring to 3.5 cm in size on a crystallized quartz matrix with minor stilbite. Great color contrast, in very good condition. A previous label comes with the specimen from the collection of Ray DeMark.

Jalgaon, located in Maharashtra, India, is a historic region that grew from an ancient settlement into a major municipal district, though specific historic town foundation and closure dates do not apply as it remains an active modern city. Geologically, the area is characterized by the Deccan Traps, a vast province of ancient flood basalt lava flows formed millions of years ago. Within the gas cavities and vesicles of these basalt formations, mineral-rich hydrothermal fluids deposited numerous secondary crystals, most notably heulandite, which frequently occurs here in distinct, well-formed tabular structures alongside other zeolites.
