Light green gemmy lustrous pseudo-cubic crystals of fluorapophyllite measuring to almost 3.0 cm in size on a thin basalt matrix with colorless crystals of stilbite. This attractive combination piece is in very good condition. Collected in the early 2000's.

Vambori is a rural locality situated in the Rahuri subdistrict of Ahilyanagar district (formerly Ahmednagar) in Maharashtra, India, with no specific historic town incorporation or official closure dates recorded. Geologically, the region lies within the extensive Deccan Traps province, consisting of thick continental flood basalts formed by volcanic activity around 60 to 65 million years ago. Secondary mineral deposits such as fluorapophyllite-K developed as low-temperature hydrothermal crystals inside gas cavities, vesicles, and fractures within these basalt flows, frequently uncovered during local agricultural well-digging and quarrying operations.
