The Majuba Hill Mine in Pershing County, Nevada, was discovered in 1907 and initiated sporadic production around 1914. It experienced primary active periods during World War I (1916 to 1919) and World War II (reactivated in 1943 for tin and copper), before largely winding down significant historic operations by the mid-20th century, though modern exploration continues today. Geologically, the deposit is centered on a complex Tertiary rhyolite stock and hydrothermal-magmatic tourmaline breccia system, featuring multi-stage mineralization that includes copper, tin, silver, and gold associated with extensive tourmalinization, sericitization, and stockwork veinlets.
