Vanadinite with Calcite
specimen number:
8621010
location:
San Carlos mine, Manuel Benevides, Chihuahua, Mexico
description:
Attractive lustrous orange red crystals of vanadinite measuring to 0.8 cm in height coming off matrix of glassy colorless crystals of calcite. Micro-chipping is present but minimal, I think this quite nice for this Mexican classic. Previous label notes that at one time this was part of the collection of Marion Godshaw.
Size: 4.0 x 3.5 x 3.0 cm (miniature)
