Loose floater greenish yellow lustrous sharp crystal of titanite. Green chlorite is present as well. This is in terrific condition all around with no points of attachment. The specimen comes with a previous label from the collection of Ray DeMark.

Tormiq Valley, located in the Roundu District of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, is not a traditional industrial mine with official opening and closing ledgers; rather, it is an active, valley-scale mineral field worked artisanally by local collectors since it gained prominence on the international market in the early 1990s. Geologically, the valley sits within the rugged Haramosh Mountains along a major tectonic collision zone near the Indus River. Its steep terrain features a complex mix of granite, amphibolite, ultramafic lenses, and metasedimentary host rocks. Intense tectonic activity and fluid movement around the regional thrust systems created open-space fissures and Alpine-type clefts, allowing mineral-rich hydrothermal solutions to deposit exceptional pocket-grown crystal specimens rather than massive ore bodies.
