specimen number:
3151359
location:
Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
description: A very neat old time classic specimen collected from this locality in the year 1906. Several previous old labels come with the piece. A brownish coding of micro crystalline smithsonite and/or siderite are coding previous cubic crystals of fluorite to 2.0 cm in size. In great condition. A pamphlet detailing a French expedition to the locality and 1906 comes with the piece. While the labels date the specimen to 1906, it is not for certain that this piece came from this expedition, but it is likely. Historical in very choice.
