Attractive yellowish green lustrous slightly translucent botryoidal adamite covering completely the top of matrix. This is in good condition. The specimen comes with a previous collection label from Ray DeMark. classic material for this locality.

The Ojuela Mine, located near Mapimi in Durango, Mexico, was originally opened by Spanish prospectors in 1598 and experienced periods of intense extraction until its final major closure around 1932 due to exhausted reserves and water issues. Geologically, the mine is situated within deformed Cretaceous limestone, where extensive hydrothermal mineralization produced rich oxidized ore bodies containing numerous rare secondary mineral species.
