Silver with Copper
specimen number:
2741058
location:
Wolverine Mine, Houghton Co., Michigan, USA
description: Outstanding classic upper Peninsula Michigan specimen with crystals of native silver to just over 2.0 cm in length very aesthetically arranged at the top of this crystallized native copper matrix. Shows well all around and I think in very fine condition. Somewhat historical as well, the specimen is mounted via a screw in a flat native copper base. I am told that the old Mine Captains used to do this sort of thing as souvenirs.
Size: 13.5 x 7.0 x 5.0 cm (cabinet)
