Rhodochrosite
specimen number:
2301148
location:
N'Chwaning Mines, Kuruman, Northern Cape Province, South Africa
description: Glassy lustrous gem deep red grouping of scalenohedral rhodochrosite crystals measuring 4.0 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm in size overall. Very slight micro-cleaving present on the terminations, not atypical of these. I think this in much better condition than most seen available. The quality is great in terms of color, luster, and transparency. A beautiful grouping.
Size: 4.0 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm (miniature)
