Pyromorphite
specimen number:
2451003
location:
La Victoria Pocket, San Andres Mine, Espiel, Cordoba, Andalusia, Spain
description: This is a wonderful large example for the species from this famous Spanish locality. Pale green lustrous thick crystals of pyromorphite to 1.5 cm in size are covering the front of a 9.0 x 6.0 x 4.0 cm matrix. Extremely minimal and minor micro-chipping on the edges, overall I think this is in very fine condition. Stands beautifully by itself for display. I think this most likely is from the last major find at this locality in 1997. It is extremely large for the locality, as most of the finer examples collected were half the size of this piece. An exceptional example. Ex Jordi Povill collection.
Size: 9.0 x 6.0 x 4.0 cm (small-cabinet)
