Olivenite
specimen number:
4531022
location:
Tsumeb mine, Otjikoto, Namibia
description:
An outstanding example for the species from this classic locality. This comes from the first oxidation zone and shows large blocky lustrous green crystals of olivenite measuring to 0.7 cm in size on matrix. The specimen is in really good condition. The specimen comes with an antique label, this however not in the best of condition as seen at the end of the video. The specimen definitely dates pre-1940.
