Mimetite-after-Descloizite
specimen number:
3261024
location:
Chah Milleh mine, Esfahan, Iran
description: Wonderful example for this rarity with large almost Christmas tree like crystal groupings of descloizite now replaced by crystallized micro mimetite. Small tiny orange red crystals of wulfenite scattered throughout. This sparkles slight crazy and is very neat. Complete all around and in excellent condition. This specimen is figured in The Mineralogical Record supplement issue Mineral Collections in Arizona on page 23. I think that willemite is also a partial replacement mineral in this.
