Galena-twin-and-untwinned with Dolomite
specimen number:
7062393
location:
Big Bear Orebody, Fletcher Mine, Viburnum Trend, Reynolds Co., Missouri, USA
description: A very unique and quite neat example showing both prominent twinned and un-twinned crystals for this species forming a 6.0 x 3.5 x 3.0 cm cluster without matrix. Minor dolomite present as well. Completely crystallized all around and in very good condition with minimal micro-chipping on one cubic crystal edge as seen. This can display from several angles depending on whether you want to show the cubic crystals only or the combination with cubic crystals and twinned crystals. Good twinned crystals from this mining district are never common, this one is especially neat showing both habits. Shipping weight: 0.22 pounds.
Size: 6.0 x 3.5 x 3.0 cm (small-cabinet)
Collection: Viburnum Trend
