Fluorite with Sphalerite, Barite
specimen number:
2022764
location:
Cumberland Mine, Smith Co., Tennessee, USA
description:
Deep purple glassy sharply formed cubic fluorite crystal 4.4 cm on edge, 6.0 cm on a diagonal, set beautifully at the top of a sparkling lustrous black sphalerite crystal matrix. This this measures 8.0 x 7.5 x 7.0 cm in size. The corners show the clear gemmy crystallized nation, somewhat typical of good fluorite specimens from this mining district. Minor barite present as well. This sits perfectly by itself for display. Extremely minimal and tiny sparse micro-chipping present, I find this to be in very fine condition. Shipping weight: 2.71 pounds. Ex Chris and Agatha Galas collection.
Size: 8.0 x 7.5 x 7.0 cm (small-cabinet)
Collection: Chris & Agatha Galas
