description: The Ke Ping region (Keping County) in Aksu, Xinjiang, China, is situated along the northwestern margin of the Tarim Basin and features a geological history spanning extensive Paleozoic sedimentary evolution. The area is structurally characterized by the Kepingtage tectonic uplift, exposing a well-preserved stratigraphic sequence of marine carbonates, clastic rocks, and prominent red-bed formations shaped by prolonged tectonic compression, faulting, and surface wind erosion. Recent finds here have produced wonderful specimens of fluorite with dolomite.
A beautiful combination piece with an elongated matrix coated with white crystals of dolomite, at the top of a grouping of glassy gem quality purple crystals of fluorite to 1.9 cm on edge. Complete all around, this is in excellent condition. The aesthetics on this one are fantastic.
