Fluorite with Calcite, Sphalerite
specimen number:
4951619
location:
Gordonsville mine, Smith Co., Tennessee, USA
description:
An attractive combination piece with a colorless glassy mostly gemmy scalenohedral calcite crystal 5.8 cm in size on a matrix of lustrous crystallized sphalerite. Gemmy purple crystals of fluorite measuring to 2.7 cm on edge are present as well. Slight chipping is present to the fluorite crystal as seen up close in the video, this still very nice. The calcite crystal exhibits twinning.
