Fluorite
specimen number:
4271036
location:
Minerva mine #1, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA
description:
Absolutely gorgeous classic specimen from southern Illinois with glassy and gemmy golden yellow cubic crystals of fluorite measuring to 3.5 cm on edge forming a matrix less cluster with minor calcite. Very slight cleaving on the bottom of the piece, I think this in great condition. Extremely pretty with blue color zoning on the edges of crystals. This is naturally crystallized even on the backside of the piece.
Size: 8.5 x 6.0 x 3.0 cm (small-cabinet)
Collection: Scott Maylen
