Glassy gemmy deep green to purple cubic crystals of fluorite to 1.5 cm on edge across the front of matrix. This is in very good condition and quite pretty. The specimen comes with a previous label from the collection of Ray DeMark.

The Okorusu Mine in the Otjozondjupa region of Namibia has a history spanning intermittent periods from around 1920 until its commercial closure in October 2014, operating through various corporate phases under owners like Iscor and Solvay before transitioning to care and maintenance. Geologically, the deposit is situated within an alkaline igneous-carbonatite ring complex where intense hydrothermal activity drove fluorine-rich fluids to replace pegmatitic carbonatites, fenites, and surrounding marble host rocks, creating world-renowned concentrations of high-quality fluorite.
