description: A wonderful combination piece from this famous locality with glassy translucent color zoned prismatic green crystals of fluorapatite measuring to 2.0 x 2.0 x 1.5 cm in size covering an 11.5 x 8.5 x 4.0 cm matrix. In outstanding condition, there are numerous extremely bright and lustrous metallic crystals of arsenopyrite in clusters to 3.5 cm across present as well. This piece has a history going back to the collection of Raymond Gigounoux. While in this collection the piece won first prize at the Crystal Expo show in Bordeaux, France in the very early 1990s. We acquired the specimen during the late 1990s from French collector Frances Benjamin. We then sold the piece to Lloyd Tate. Later we acquired the Lloyd Tate collection, and which we proceeded to sell the piece again. We have since received it back. A superb example for this locality.
