Beryl with Quartz, Elbaite (repaired-stabalized)
specimen number:
4272442
location:
Cryo-Genie mine, San Diego Co., California, USA
description:
A glassy gemmy crystal of colorless beryl 5.0 cm across on a feldspar matrix with small pink crystals of elbaite. What at first appears to be damage on one corner of the crystal is completely natural. I do see glue lining the juncture of the crystal to the matrix. This has either been repaired or stabilized.
