location:
Black Pine mine, Granite Co., Montana, USA
description:
Large lustrous deep blue slightly translucent crystals of veszelyite to 1.0 cm in size along one edge of a terminated grouping of smoky quartz crystals. In very fine condition I think, only with high magnification can you find very tiny micro-chipping in one area. Shows nicely all around and associated with philipsburgite, chrysocolla, and beudantite. A superb example of the species. Collected in August, 1979.
Size: 3.5 x 2.7 x 2.2 cm (miniature)
