Sphalerite with Chalcopyrite
specimen number:
4531074
location:
Joplin, Tri-State district, Missouri, USA
description:
A grouping of large somewhat iridescent lustrous sphalerite crystals, small golden crystals of chalcopyrite to 0.4 cm in size scattered throughout. Very little chert matrix attached on the bottom side. Slight chipping present, this pre-1940 example still in very good condition, I think. This comes with an antique label, unfortunately torn in half due to its age, as seen at the end of the video.
