Superb matrix piece for this locality consisting of a 4.0 x 2.3 x 2.0 cm orange mostly lustrous slightly translucent complete spessartine crystal set on matrix. No damage or chipping, this can display from several directions and still look great. When these first came onto the market, large loose crystals of the size were selling for huge amounts of money. Good matrix examples were never commonly seen.
