Silver-(stabalized)

specimen number:
1113585

location:
Kongsberg, Buskerud, Norway

description:

An extraordinary classic native silver specimen showing a branching grouping of crystallized native silver 5.5 cm in height coming off a calcite matrix. Sits perfectly by itself and shows well all around. If you look near where the silver starts to go into the calcite matrix someone in the past has stabilized this area with some silver solder. I do not think this is a fake, this was put on the specimen to stabilize the very thin area of silver and allow it to hold up the heavier top part with the nice silver crystals. Measures 8.5 x 5.0 x 4.0 cm.

Size: 8.5 x 5.0 x 4.0 cm (small-cabinet)
