Good crystallized quartz was never common from this old locality. The calcite crystals are fluorescent red. In good condition, unusual and very nice. The specimen comes with several previous collection labels as shown at the end of the video. The specimen was also part of several displays assembled for various shows in the 1990s. The specimen is figured in the magazine The Mineralogical Record on page 448 the figure 80. This important and famous locality closed forever in 1962.
