Attractive light purple crystals of quartz, the variety known as an amethyst, across the top of matrix. Colorless crystals of rhombohedral calcite are scattered throughout. In good condition. Previous label from the collection of Ray DeMark accompanies the specimen. The locality as we show it is what is given on the previous label. I'm not so sure this is not from Guanajuato.
