Quartz (gwindel)

specimen number:
9501502

location:
Tavetsch, Vorderrhein Valley, Grisons, Switzerland

description:
While one might be familiar with the classic, and often expensive, smoky quartz gwindel specimens from the Alps, completely colorless and gemmy glassy one such as this are extremely rare and in much demand. This one is in super condition and shows nicely all around, sitting perfectly by itself or display as shown in the picture. There is a slight twist as can be seen in the video. Outstanding Alpine specimen.
