A loose colorless gem very glassy somewhat flattened double terminated crystal of quartz. In good condition with very minimal micro-damage present. An unusual crystal that is quite attractive. There are no points of attachment.

Coleman's Mine in Garland County, Arkansas, has been active under various operators since commercial exploration began on the site in 1906, gaining prominence during World War II when it was placed under federal control to supply vital electronic-grade material. It is still actively operated today as both a commercial venture and a public digging site, meaning a closing date does not exist. Geologically, the site sits within the Ouachita Mountains quartz belt, where hydrothermal mineral-rich fluids deposited massive crystal veins within folded Paleozoic sedimentary rock formations such as shale and sandstone.
