description:
Lustrous colorless translucent crystals of quartz to 1.0 cm in size covering the top of this matrix with minor hematite. Good crystallized quartz specimens were never terribly common from this long closed locality. This one is in great condition. At one time part of the collection of John Brottlund who worked at the Montreal mine and was responsible for most of the specimens recovered. This locality closed in 1962.
