Pyromorphite-after-Cerussite with Quartz
specimen number:
3631264
location:
Black Pine mine, Granite Co., Montana, USA
description:
I am told this was a one time pocket find in the very early 1980s, twinned crystals of what were once cerussite to 1.0 cm in size now replaced by calcian rich pyromorphite set at the base of a grouping of quartz crystals. Slight micro-chipping present, still in good condition. Unusual and rare.
