An enormous large loose octahedral crystal of pyrochlore. Complete all around with no points of attachment, in excellent condition. This is incredibly good for the species. Collected in the 1990s. The specimen comes with a previous label from the collection of Ray DeMark.

The Tatarskii Massif, located in the Yenisei Ridge region of Krasnoyarsk Krai in Russia, is an alkaline geological complex hosted within ancient metamorphic terranes. Following detailed geological exploration in the region, the massif gained international scientific recognition for hosting exceptionally large pyrochlore crystals, with historical specimens growing up to fourteen centimeters in size and ranking among the largest ever discovered globally.
