Pyrite casts after Anhydrite
specimen number:
4651011
location:
Sweetwater mine, Viburnum Trend, Reynolds Co., Missouri, USA
description:
Quite unusual and interesting specimen showing copper colored crystallized pyrite, these forming sharp casts after now gone bladed crystals of anhydrite. The last time I saw any quantity of this sort of material from the mine was 30 years ago, and these were generally much smaller specimens. In great condition.
