Originally identified as a distinct species in 2003, pezzottaite is a cesium rich member of the beryl group. This example shows pinkish red crystals of translucent and measuring to 0.5 cm in size on a quartz matrix with elbaite and albite. Crystallized naturally all around and in great condition. There are many fine crystals present on this piece.
