Rich colorless vitreous masses of petalite throughout matrix. From the type locality for the species. The specimen comes with two previous labels, one from the collection of Ray DeMark and the other from the collection at the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum, Michigan Tech University. These are shown at the end of the video.

The Uto Mines in Haninge, Stockholm County, Sweden, represent one of the countrys oldest mining districts, with iron ore extraction beginning around the 12th century before operations finally ceased in 1879. Beyond iron, the local pegmatites are historically significant in mineralogy as the type locality where the rare lithium-bearing silicate mineral petalite was first discovered in 1800.
