description: A superb example for this rare species seldom seen in collections today. Prismatic black crystals to 0.5 cm in length in several pockets throughout this massive cuprite matrix. The crystals are altering to tenorite. Blue claringbullite present as well. This specimen was figured in The Mineralogical Record supplement called Mineral Collections in Arizona on page 180.
