description: This is an excellent display quality example for the species from this old and famous locality. Lustrous bladed crystals of manganite are very rich and scattered across the top of a botryoidal goethite matrix. Crystallized all around and in great condition. This locality closed in 1962, specimens of the species were never terribly common. The specimen was displayed at both the Cincinnati, 1993 show Cincinnati, 2024, Denver show, 1997, and Tucson show 2017.
