Malachite after Azurite
specimen number:
4551214
location:
New Cornelia mine, Ajo, Pima Co., Arizona, USA
description:
A wonderful example for this Arizona classic with large blocky crystals of what were once azurite now replaced by velvety green lustrous malachite and set nicely on a thin matrix. This shows all around and is in very good condition. Previous label notes that this at one time was part of the William Thomas collection.
