Kerrouchen is a small settlement in the Khenifra Province of Morocco. Geologically, the area is situated within the Middle Atlas region, where volcanic and sedimentary strata interact significantly. The notable gemstone and mineral formations occur primarily within extensive Triassic basaltic flows, forming distinctive nodules that feature complex microtextures, quartz varieties, and post-magmatic hydrothermal mineral inclusions resulting from ancient volcanic and fluid-driven processes. The locality is well known for fine azurite and malachite specimens, as well as other minerals.
