Kesterite with Mushistonite, Muscovite, Calcite, Fluorapatite
specimen number:
5007310
location:
Pingwu mine, Huya, Pingwu Co., Mianyang, Sichuan, China
description:
An excellent richly crystallized example for this rare mineral. Sharp well-formed crystals measuring to 0.6 cm in size are scattered across the top of this muscovite crystal matrix with both crystallized calcite and fluorapatite. Green mushistonite is present as coatings up on the kesterite crystals. The calcite crystals, as well as the fluorapatite crystals, fluoresce brightly under longwave ultraviolet light. The calcite crystals fluoresce bright red, while the fluorapatite crystals of much lighter almost colorless. This is shown at the end of the video. In great condition, this is crystallized naturally all around.
