Very neat geological example from this important feature in southern Illinois. An intrusive breccia of Permian age, the amphibole dated at 272.1 and phlogopite at 272.7 million years old. This was and placed at over 550 degrees celsius. Slabbed and lacquered on one face to show the interior. Measures 11.0 x 9.0 x 2.0 cm. Shipping weight: 0.51 pounds.
