2091063

location:
Gaskins Mine, Empire Sub-District, Illinois - Kentucky Fluorspar District, Pope Co., Illinois, USA

description:

Neat cubic, with pronounced octahedral modifications, galena crystal measuring 3.0 x 2.0 x 2.0 cm. Small crystals of platy barite and calcite are present throughout. Minor fluorite on the backside. In excellent condition. Previous label gives a location that is a mystery; I can only assume that this meant to be from the Gaskin mine. Shipping weight: 0.25 pounds.
