Galena
specimen number:
3431030
location:
Sweetwater mine, Viburnum Trend, Reynolds Co., Missouri, USA
description:
Bright lustrous cluster of cubic galena crystals. This one interesting as there are octahedral small crystals on the surfaces of the larger cubic crystals. In this mining district normally the cubic crystal form in the species comes last, with the octahedral habit been the first generation. The opposite is rarely seen. In good condition.
Size: 7.0 x 5.0 x 3.5 cm (small-cabinet)
