Fluorite with Barite
specimen number:
9507090
location:
Jiang Jun Gou, Huairou, Beijing, China
description: Jiang Jun Gou, located in the Huairou District of Beijing, China, is a mining locality with a complex history marked by forced labor operations during World War II before being abandoned for decades, followed by renewed localized access by mineral collectors in recent years. Geologically, the site is situated within a regional framework characterized by complex metamorphic and sedimentary formations typical of the northern China craton evolution, hosting hydrothermal pocket deposits that yield notable specimens of cubic fluorite.
Gorgeous golden yellow glassy and mostly gemmy cubic crystals of fluorite, the prominent crystal 2.8 cm on edge, set up on a white crystallized barite matrix. In super condition. Excellent color contrast.
