Gorgeous gemmy golden yellow lustrous crystals of fluorite to 2.6 cm in size across the top of a barite crystal matrix. This is in terrific condition with very minimal micro-damage present. The color on this is outstanding.

Jiang Jun Gou, located in the Huairou District of Beijing, China, is historically recognized for its fluorspar and fluorite mineral workings. The deposits were initially discovered in the early 1940s, heavily mined under Japanese direction from 1943 to 1945, temporarily reopened following 1949, and later worked through informal local mining in the 1980s and 1990s before commercial operations permanently ceased in the early twenty-first century due to resource exhaustion and environmental regulations. Geologically, the site sits within the Yanshan Fold Belt on the northern margin of the North China Craton, where complex Jurassic volcanic rocks and hydrothermal systems created open fractures that allowed fluorine-bearing fluids to precipitate yielding attractive golden yellow fluorite crystals with barite.
