Fluorite
specimen number:
8601323
location:
Minerva No. 1 Mine, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA
description: A neat classic example of a toadstool fluorite from this old locality. Really pretty blue and yellow color zoned semi lustrous near transparent crystals of fluorite to 5.3 cm on edge on top of pale yellowish crystallized fluorite. Minor petroleum present as well. A slight divot present along one edge of the crystal at left, this natural and a contact where a previous crystal had been present. Very minimal micro-chipping present typical of these, I think this in very good condition.
