Fluorite
specimen number:
2341039
location:
Jebel Tirremi, Taourirt, Oriental, Morocco
description: The Jebel Tirremi deposit in the Taourirt province of eastern Morocco consists primarily of Jurassic carbonate dome structures that host significant hydrothermal fluorite mineralization tied to regional tectonic fault networks. Mining and mineral exploration in this area have focused on extracting high-purity fluorite vein systems and replacement deposits embedded within the carbonate host rocks. Collectors and industrial operators value the site for producing distinct crystal specimens, contributing to the broader mineralogical prominence of the Oriental region.
Extremely attractive grouping of light purple lustrous and gemmy cubic fluorite crystals, the largest measuring to 4.0 cm on edge. This is in excellent condition. The specimen comes with a previous label from the collection of Jan Erik Larsen.
Size: 10.0 x 7.0 x 3.5 cm (cabinet)
